Idol Results-Top 6 down to Top 5 4/23/08

Quick retrospective on previous Idol finalists…I missed the point of the whole thing, except possibly to try to link this week’s theme back to Broadway since ALW is not a performed and god knows they have to fill the time with something irrelevant just because they CAN.  It was a stretch. Clay Aiken may be a good singer but he can NEVER fill the shoes of David Hyde-Pierce in Spamalot…. (He will always be Niles Crane to me)   Clay still seems tremendously proud of himself and evidently no one has advised him that he doesn’t need to look like Prince Valiant OFF stage, too.  Hate the hair.

Britain’s Pop Idol performed-didn’t catch her name but had to endure the performance.  It was painful. (If she is the top recording artist in the world, then I’m finally about to become a supermodel-there has to be a tear in the space-time continuum so get ready for Bizarro world.)  More importantly, her shoes were ugly.

Once again, Paula attempted to defy gravity by shoving her cleavage up to her earlobes. Might be easier to just sleep hanging upside down from the rafters, like a bat.  Poor Paula.

38 million votes and I CANT believe that Brooke and Jason both dodged the bullet AGAIN!!  Sending Carly home was a tragedy…. she’s really the only interesting one left and the show will be circling the drain by the end of the season-we’ll all be falling asleep. Simon will have to be more outrageous than usual or we will all lose interest completely.  Maybe Paula can stop her meds and liven things up….

Shame on America for voting Carly off….this sucks.
